Creative Resources

This is a list of different creative resources, both Free and Paid. Many times I have clients who have specific design wants and needs for their website or project and it can be easier for us both to have you choose the graphics. These creative resources are the ones that I use most, there are many beautiful options. I beleive that beautiful imagery makes the website.

I try to stick with showing you the Free options first. If you are reading this you probably already know that I try to keep my prices low. Which means that new graphics aren’t included with most of my quotes. There are also some paid options on this list of creative resources because the free options don’t always include the perfect graphic and sometimes it is so much easier and graphically appealing to purchase an image as well as to support an artist financially.

Please be sure to always read the terms and conditions before using any artwork. The artists have set forth conditions in which you can use their art, and it varies. If you are unsure, let me know and I will look into the rules of if we can use the artwork.

Icon Websites

FontAwesome.com

These icons work the same as using a font, so we are easily able to change the size and color. I am easily able to use the “Free” icons throughout your website, just let me know which one you want to use by clicking on the icon and sending me the link after you have clicked it.

iconmonstr.com

I love iconmonstr! The artist of these graphics creates amazing art, the style all matches, so if you need different icons you know they will all match. They are all free on this website, which is amazing! The artist only asks that they are not use for a logo, trademark or in a defamatory way. When you find one you like, just send me the link.

iconfinder.com

Icon FInder is a great website because there are so many options of icons, and so many different styles of images. There are different licenses available from each Artist, ranging from completely free use, commercial use and free use as long as you link back to the artist. They have many available if you pay for them or pay for a subscription as well. Please make sure to read the details on these ones!

Free Stock Photo Websites

stocksnap.io

These images are all free for commercial use as part of the Creative Commons licensing. So any images you can download and use, or send the link to me for use on your website. Just watch out for any images linking over to Shutterstock. They are the ones with the Shutterstock watermark. Those ones aren’t free.

Pexels.com

Pexels is my favorite free stock photo site. There are many beautiful images on there. They do have many shutterstock advertisements, which look similar to their photos.

Free Stock Videos

coverr.co

This website has beautiful videos that work as great background images that move. I use one on my homepage. They are beautiful but videos can take a minute to load, so they may not always be the best idea for your website. If you choose to use one, you may find the perfect one here.

pexels.com

This website, although listed above, also has a great selection of stock videos as well.

I have a feeling that this post will be updated often, as I find more creative resources or as they change. Keep your eyes out, because I also have a few more creative resources up my sleeve that I haven’t researched enough. They will be added soon!
